Caribbean Cocktails

We have just been on a fantastic holiday, in St. Lucia, where we tasted several different types of cocktail, (mainly rum based of course), and non-alcoholic cocktails too. During this time, I have learnt a few new cocktails to add to our portfolio. In this trade, you never stop learning and I will explain how to make some of these drinks, in future blogs.

Cocktail Demonstration Event

This year, we have had a few enquires, for a Cocktail Demonstration. This is where we provide one or two members of staff, (who are ‘highly trained’ Cocktail barmen), we explain how the cocktail was first invented and by whom, (if we know this), roughly when the cocktail was first made, and then go into demonstrating how to make the cocktail, by breaking the elements of making the cocktail down. This is great fun, as once we have made the first cocktail, the guests normally come in ‘pairs’ and make themselves a cocktail, under our guidance. We bring all the smaller equipment for the event, cocktail shakers, pourers etc as part of the service. We have completed quite a few of these events over the years, but it seems to be getting more popular.
